Menu 10.1.3 - Port Assignments

Part of configuring The Collector System includes setting it up to work with output devices such as terminals, printers, and dialers.

Before The Collector System can work with external hardware devices, you must first configure the ports in the system. Most of today's computers use a type of port called a parallel port, which can support multiple bit-at-a-time transmissions between the computer and the device, making the process of printing or scanning happen much faster.

When you set up terminals, printers, dialers, or any other device with the Port Assignment option, you can set up any number of ports that you have available.
