A city code is a shortcut for entering city, state, zip code, and area code information. Usually the code is a zip code, but it can also be any alphabetic, numeric, or alphanumeric combination that suits your needs.

There are two ways you can add or update city codes in The Collector System: enter them manually or upload a special file that includes updated city codes. The file is available when you purchase CU·Codes, which is an add-on product that provides you city code updates monthly, quarterly, annually, or bi-annually—depending on how frequently you request them.
