Adding notes to other packet members

As a note is added to a packet member, you can do one of the following:

  • Copy all notes to each packet member.
  • Apply the note to only the current account.
  • Select accounts in which to add the note.

By default, this feature is disabled. For information on configuring this option, see Enabling or disabling updating packet members' notes with collector notes.

You may see an alert that a record is locked. This indicates that another user has the account open. The system displays a prompt with the user's initials.

To apply a note to other packet members:

Select one of the following to apply a note:

  • Yes to add the note to all other packet members. The cursor advances to the next note line.
  • No to not add the note to other packet members. The cursor advances to the next note line.
  • Select to view each account in the packet and add the note to specific members.

    Click Yes to add the note to the packet member or click No to move to the next packet member.

This option can be used in the Collector, Post, and Data Entry screens. Do the following:

  • In the Collector screen (menu 5.1), to add a note in the memo section, type 2. You can only add notes to other packet members in this screen. You can only delete a note on the same day it was created.
  • In the Post screen (menu 4.1), at the Amount prompt, type * and select Update Note. You can only add notes to other packet members in this screen. If you have access to this screen, you can delete or modify notes at any time.
  • In the Account Update screen (menu 1.1), at the Name prompt, type * and select (A) to add an option. You can add notes to other packet members in this screen. If you have access to this screen, you can delete or modify notes at any time.
