Menu 3: Inquiry

Inquiry is a view-only function that allows you to search The Collector System database for accounts, posted transactions, packets, payments, judgments, and clients. This is helpful when you do not know the account number or when a customer calls directly.

If you use The Collector System modules, there may be other inquiry screens you can access. For more information, refer to the User's Guide for each module your agency uses.

Menu options overview

The following table describes each of the submenus of the Inquiry menu. Click the menu link to go to the topics for that menu number.

3.1 - Account Inquiry

Search for accounts using information other than the account number

3.2 - Posting Inquiry

Search for specific transactions in the current month or preliminary Month-End

3.3 - Packet Inquiry

Search for packet information, such as names, account numbers, client numbers, and the amounts owing on each packet account

3.4 - Payment History

Search for posting notes for an account record

3.5 - Judgment Inquiry

Search for judgments assigned to accounts

3.6 - Client Inquiry

Search for client records using information other than the client number

3.7 - Easy Out

Run Easy Out reports

3.8 - Precollet Inquiry

Search for precollect accounts using information other than the account number
