Creating a new packet from a saved list of accounts

Saved lists are used most often to locate multiple accounts for the same person, which can then be packeted. After the saved list is obtained, you can create a new packet, add to an existing packet, change packet assignment, or delete from a packet.

Use this option to create a new packet using either the next available packet number from the system or to create your own packet number.

To create a new packet from a saved list of accounts:

  1. Follow the instructions in Creating saved lists.
  2. At the Account# (/, /n, . , - , Pkt, Dis, Off) prompt, type PKT, and press Enter.
  3. In the Packet Options window, do one of the following, and press Enter or click Ok:
    • To use the next packet available number in the system to create a new packet, select Next Packet Number. Proceed to Step 5.
    • To add to an existing packet, select Specific Packet Number.
  4. At the Enter Packet Number (?) window, type a number, and press Enter or click Ok.
  5. At the account number Added to Packet number prompt, click Ok.
  6. At the Ok for account number to be Added to Packet number? prompt, click Yes.

The prompts in Steps 5 and 6 repeat for each of the accounts you added to the saved list.
