Viewing collection snapshots

Use command SNAP to view and print the following account information:

  • Payments - Displays a list of the payments made on the account for a specific date.
  • Contacts - A contact is defined as any time your agency communicates with the customer. Communication can take the form of a letter, phone call, e-mail, and so on. This command allows you to view the number of successful, reached, and failed contact attempts for the customer. The system only lists contacts associated with an action code.
  • Letters and notices - Displays the number and name of letters and notices sent to this account.
  • Broken promises - A broken promise is defined as a payment that is received after the promised date, or the amount of the payment received is less than the promised payment amount. This command allows you to view the reason the promise was broken, including the number of missed payments and the amount of the missed payment(s).

To view the collection snapshot:

  1. Open an account in the Collector screen.
  2. At the CMD prompt, type SNAP, and press Enter.

    The Snapshot screen displays:

Before the SNAP screen will show the list of letter/notice names, your agency must first enable the contact management feature in The Collector System. For older accounts, this means that there may be a discrepancy between the number of letters/notes sent and the list of the letter/notice names since The Collector System cannot track the name of the letters/notices sent before the contact management feature is enabled. For more information, see Setting up contact management.

  3. At the prompt, do one of the following, and press Enter:
    • To print the screen, type P.
      • In the Select Printer to Use window, select a printer, and press Enter or click Ok. Repeat Step 3.
    • To exit the screen, type Q.
