Menu 6.24 - Desk Movement

The Collector System allows you to move accounts between desks, using either the Mass Desk Reassignment feature or typing a Select or Get-List statement.

With the Mass Desk Reassignment feature, you can move a large number of accounts between desks simultaneously. There are three options you can use to select the accounts to move:

  • Standard Routine - You can specify the criteria used by the system to select accounts for mass desk reassignment.
  • Saved List - You can create a saved list of accounts and use it to move the accounts to the new desk. For more information, see Creating saved lists.
  • Select Statement - You can create a Recall Select statement and use it to move the accounts to the new desk. For more information, see Entering Recall statements.

By default, when you move a large number of accounts that include packeted accounts, the packet members follow the primary account to the new desk. An exception to this is if the primary account's desk is exempted from desk reassignment. In this case, you can send all the packet members to the desk determined by the packet balance rather than the primary account's balance; or you can assign the packet members individually without considering any other information in the packet. Contact your Finvi Support representative to help you select a method of assignment. For more information, see Menu 10.4.31 - Desk Assignments.

The Mass Desk Reassignment feature automatically makes adjustments for accounts that are currently in house delay but are scheduled to go to a desk being affected by the new assignment criteria. The system compares the future desk number in each house-delayed account against the new assignment criteria. If they no longer match, the system enters the appropriate future desk number specified by the new criteria. When the account comes out of house delay, it moves to the correct desk.

With a Select or Get-List statement, you can move accounts between desks from collector to collector, support to support, collector to support, and support to collector. For more information, see Working with Recall.
