Menu 7.4 - History Report

The History report contains comprehensive statistics about the amounts collected during the last month for each client, arranged by assignment date. There are a variety of criteria by which you can run the report and additional options for sorting.

To track history statistics, first set up the client in the Update History routine. You also need to enter a frequency code in the Client Control Record field 201, Hist Freq. For more information, see Creating or changing the Client Control Record.

A frequency code tells system how often the History report prints for a particular client. You can also combine statistics for related clients in the same History report. For more information, see Combining clients.

You can run two types of History reports, Regular and Stair Step. For each of these reports you can include data from the previous month, or from the current month-to-date (MTD). All three reports shows collection statistics compiled during the last Month-End. For example, if you run the report any time in June, it reports history statistics compiled at the May Month-End. It breaks down the statistics by month for the previous 12 months and by year for the last three years. All yearly information is accumulated together. The following table describes each type of History report and provides a link to an example.

Regular History report	Shows the amount that was assigned during each of the months reported. All the amounts have been collected in the time since the last Regular History report was run (generally this is in the last month).	Regular History report
Stair Step History report	Shows 36 months of history. Each month shows the percentage of the assignments from that month that were collected in each month since assignment, going back up to 12 months from the date of assignment for each of the 36 months. For example, you are viewing Stair Step History for February 2010. In that month, $10,000 of assignments were placed. The report shows you the percentage of the $10,000 that was collected in each month from February 2011 to February 2012.	Stair Step History report
MTD History report	Shows you History from your last Month-End close to date for either the Regular or Stair Step History report. If you have not enabled the setting to build month-to-date History reports at Day-End, an error displays. To enable the setting, see Displaying window or column headings on dumb terminals.
